Albert ‘TJ’ Santiago is a Bronx native with a musical theater background and a passion for performing arts. Shortly after starting his freshman year at Professional Performing Arts High School, TJ joined the broadway cast of How the Grinch Stole Christmas for their first national tour. Upon graduating, he fell in love with the world of circus. He was accepted into the Intensive Professional Program at Suzi Winson’s Circus Warehouse: where he studied contortion, hand balancing, aerial hoop, tissu, and ballet. He was chosen to study Mongolian contortion under coach Khazu Chan, student of Angelique (Erdenechimeg) Janov; Mongolian contortion coach for Cirque Du Soleil’s show “O” . Since then, TJ has toured with Big Top Broadway as their leading contortionist, and went on to study at X-Rose Contortion Center with Bud Tumurbatar in Ulanbaataar, Mongolia. He has modeled for Inked Magazine and performed with the show Carmen: To Havana & Back, an immersive experience by Variety Life Productions. TJ looks forward to bending his way through life: whether it’s on stage, on camera, or under a big top!
